Writing Prompt Wednesday

Since early Spring, I've been trying to write at least one poem a week. I've discovered a couple of things along the way. First, what Colum McCann, author of Letters to a Young Writer, says is true: "Just keep your arse in the chair," and words will arrive. Second, photographs can

trigger ideas and provide details that will enrich your work. You certainly can use your own photographs, but you can also borrow images captured by others. Below is a photo to get things going for you today. I hope it inspires a poem, flash fiction, short story, or anything else you'd like to try. If you successfully submit your piece for publication, please let me know so I can take a peek at your creation.
